IB Math Tutor — AA & AI, SL and HL
1-to-1 IB Math tutoring for Analysis & Approaches and Applications & Interpretation, SL and HL. Concept-first teaching, IA guidance, and paper-by-paper exam prep.
Book a Free Demo ClassTutoriz provides 1-to-1 IB Math tutoring for both courses — Analysis & Approaches and Applications & Interpretation — at Standard and Higher Level, including Internal Assessment guidance and exam preparation. Every student starts with a free demo class.
IB Math is two different subjects sharing a name. Analysis & Approaches (AA) rewards algebraic fluency and proof-style thinking for students heading to maths-heavy degrees; Applications & Interpretation (AI) emphasises modelling, statistics, and technology use. Our IB Math tutors teach your child's actual course — AA or AI, SL or HL — not a generic 'IB maths' blend.
Every plan starts from where the student is: current topic coverage, predicted grade, and how far the Internal Assessment has progressed. IA support is a core part of what we do — topic selection, structuring the mathematical exploration, and marking rubric alignment — always coaching the student's own work, never writing it for them.
Sessions are 1-to-1 and online, with GDC (calculator) fluency taught alongside the mathematics since both papers reward efficient technology use. We work with IB students worldwide — including the UAE, Europe, the US, and international schools everywhere.
IB Math Topics We Cover
Our tutors cover the full range of IB Math topics across all major curricula and exam boards.
Where Students Struggle in IB Math
These are the IB Math sticking points our tutors solve most often.
Choosing and scoring the IA
The Internal Assessment is 20% of the grade and students routinely pick un-markable topics. Tutors guide topic choice, structure, and rubric alignment — the student's own maths, properly presented.
AA vs AI confusion
Schools don't always explain the course split well. We confirm which course your child is actually enrolled in and teach to that syllabus, paper format, and grade boundaries.
GDC underuse
Both papers reward efficient graphing-calculator work — most students use a fraction of what their GDC does. We build calculator fluency into every topic.
Curricula & Exam Boards We Support

IB Math Tutoring FAQs
Do you tutor both IB Math AA and AI?+
Yes — AA and AI are genuinely different courses with different paper styles, and we match tutors accordingly. AA suits students heading to maths, physics, or engineering; AI suits social sciences, business, and applied fields. If you're unsure which your child is taking, their school can confirm — and we can advise in the demo.
Can you help with the Math Internal Assessment?+
Yes. We coach topic selection, mathematical depth, structure, and rubric alignment — the IA is worth 20% of the final grade. Everything remains the student's own work; we guide and review, we do not write it for them.
What's the difference between SL and HL tutoring?+
HL covers roughly 90 extra hours of content plus Paper 3 — an investigation-style exam SL students don't sit. HL tutoring goes deeper on proof, pace, and the additional syllabus topics, so we match HL students with tutors who teach HL specifically.
My child is predicted a 4 but wants a 6 or 7. Is that realistic?+
Usually, yes — with enough runway. Moving two grades typically takes a term or two of weekly sessions focused on past papers, topic gaps, and exam technique. The diagnostic demo gives an honest read on what's achievable by the exam session.
Do you work with IB students outside the UAE?+
Yes — we tutor IB students at schools across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Gulf, scheduled in their time zone. The IB syllabus is identical worldwide, so our support travels perfectly.
When should IB Math tutoring start?+
DP1 (Year 12) is ideal — early gaps in functions and algebra compound quickly. But students join us at every stage: mid-DP1 catch-up, IA season, or the final exam run-up in DP2.
